Whitby
General Information
Whitby is a seaside port town located in the Yorkshire region of England, United Kingdom and who's history dates right back to the 7th century. The river Esk runs through Whitby basically dividing it in two. The Old Town of Whitby is a pretty and colourful area with cobbled streets hugging the harbour.
Whitby is over looked by the cliff-top ruins of the beautiful 13th century Whitby Abbey and is surrounded on the landward side by the North York Moors National Park.
