General Information

Llandudno is located in the Conwy region of Wales, United Kingdom and is known for its holiday spirit since the 19th Century when the new railway lines brought tourists to the coast.

The longest pier in Wales is located here with over 700m of canopied walkways and little shops, recalling Llandudno's Victorian past. There are Alice in Wonderland sculptures dotted around town, including an impressive Mad Hatter on the Promenade.

Situated alongside Great Orme; a protruding limestone headland, an area of conservation and nature reserve. There is an information centre at the top which provides tourists with local history and information on the wildlife of the area. The summit can be reached either via the Great Orme Tramway (which is one of only three cable-hauled street tramways in the world - the other 2 are in San Francisco and Lisbon), or by the Llandudno Cable Car.

Llandudno is near the Snowdonia National Park which for the energetic tourist offers many walks and spectacular views, and for the history buffs there is Llandudno’s admired heritage centre which is a home telling the story of the Welsh town's progress from industrial heartland to popular coastal resort.
