Sanquhar
General Information
Sanquhar is a small town situated on the river Nith in Dumfries and Galloway, in the Highland region of Scotland, United Kingdom.
Sanquhar is mostly known for its tiny post office reportedly the oldest working post office in the world. Another main attraction is the Tolbooth Museum, a striking Georgian town house in which the history of the town is retold. Tourists can also follow the Town Heritage Trail, which takes visitors along an historical journey through the town.
