General Information
Llandaff is an attractive residential area of Cardiff, in Wales, United Kingdom. The Llandaff Cathedral dominates the area, with the current building constructed in the 12th century, and is one of two cathedrals in Cardiff. It has an interesting history and many unique treasures within its walls and is a drawcard for visitors to the area. An annual music festival is held in the Llandaff Cathedral.
Previously a completely separate village, Llandaff is situated along the banks of the River Taff northwest of the city centre. With its vibrant high street, and pretty village green this area is a popular location within Cardiff.
The River Taff provides many activities for locals and tourists alike, and with its active rowing club there are many annual festivities and regattas.
Getting around Llandaff is easy with the water bus moving along the new waterfront and the scheduled buses into the city centre.
Places of interest include the ruined gatehouse of the Llandaff Castle.
